It Came From The Deep

For Photo Friday : The Best of 2005


Of course there probably are better photos taken of or by me in 2005. But this is a fun one and it gets me in a good mood. It's January and I'm already looking forward to summer. I love the sun. The sun in many mystical writings is hailed as an icon of God. Saint Francis says that the sun is the closest representation of God as we have (besides Christ). Others claim that the same soul that is in the sun is the same soul that is in you. The spark of life...the imprint of God in whose image we are made. Whatever your belief, however it is you speak of God, he is as reliable, warm and nurturing, and "light-giving" as the sun. I couldn't live without the sun, neither can I without God.
