Cheerleader Brings Knife and Hit List To School

Is MySpace a place for stupid kids? I guess if you post your "hit" list on your profile and then bring it and a knife to school, there is an argument to be made.

A teen in a Baltimore area cheerleading squad did just that... and got caught. Anne Arundel County school leaders say disciplinary action has already been taken, but parents are miffed saying that without telling them about the incident, the safety of their children threatened.

As a parent I am constantly monitoring what is going on in their schools. In Crisfield Md, there has been a murdered student and threatened race riots because of the sudden natural death of another. It is the parents right to know. I found out about these things because my kids have cell phones. I don't rely on the school system here. it seems to be more interested in attendance- ie. keeping federal funding for "No Child Left Behind"- than for a kids actual intelligence or safety.

It must be an NEA secret.
