Rodney Crowell - Please Remember Me
I heard Tim Mcgraw's version of this song today and I was thinking of how odd a song choice this seemed for Mcgraw at the time. This is why...It is a Rodney Crowell song from "Jewel of the South". I've always been a Crowell fan and was particularly happy with "Fate's Right Hand

Naked Eyes - Promises Promises
Every time I hear this one it brings me back to an interesting time in my life. I was in a three man punk rock band and was having some lady troubles. Anyway I'm always blown away at this song. I think it is the dry twang guitar riff and lead. The melody is nice but I think I like it because it is more a timemarker than anything else for me. Peace and enjoy.

Flyleaf - All Around Me

Royksopp - Only This Moment
This is one of my all time favorite visual feasts. I heard the song last night, watching the film, "Just My Luck" with the family. The music on this is very techno-ish. I don't usually go for beeps and beats but this one strikes me. And the romance of the film and concept of the video really works for me. And who can beat the lyric "Only this moment holds us together..." and "stay or forever go...play or you'll never know"? Okay, so the second one isn't so deep, and sometimes neither am I. Of course "love without pain isn't really romance" is a real kicker too.
Besides...doesn't the guy in the end look a bit like Sir Bob Geldof?

Led Zeppelin - The Rain Song
I heard the weirdest thing this morning on our local radio station. They played a very mellow Kenny Loggins song which contained the line, " don't play anything mellow at the Whiskey"-- meaning the club in LA. They followed it up with Led Zeppelin's "Whole Lotta Love".
Irony, you say? You bet!
This is one of my favorites from Led Zep... a pretty mellow one at that. Enjoy!
