My Dockers Double Life
I ran across a national campaign that Dockers is conducting. It is a Commercial contest in which you are encouraged to upload a video about "a day in the life of your pants".
The story of a day in the life of my dockers would be told most definitely in the action adventure genre...or at least with a good double agent plot. You see my life itself is full of activities that on the surface look contrary to each other, and my pants naturally are "along for the ride".
My pants and I start our day loving nature. I live on an island by the Atlantic Ocean. We take my first cup of coffee and walk outside to enjoy the sound of the surf and seabirds frolicking in the morning sun. Once the java is down I return inside, with my pants, and sit down at my computer and I begin to write. I write about religion, usually blogging whatever my spiritual devotion is for that day. I write about funny things, and serious things in a rather mixed bag. I suppose it is that way because my life is that way.
My pants and I then go through the morning ritual of breakfast and school preparation with my spouse and my kids. Now I need my Dockers to stay neat and business casual at the same time I'm romping with my kids before school and sometimes during the day with my littlest ones. This is because I am also an artist and a web designer with places to go and people to meet.
After a day of meetings and deadlines., on the one side, lifting material, stretching, and playing with the youngins on the other, my dockers and I like to set back and catch the news, maybe some sports, or shows on UFO's on my satellite TV. All along the way my pants stay comfortable and appropriate, never once betraying their double life.
Once I figure out a way to film this story I'm going to post my video for the Dockers contest both here and at nbc.com/dockers . You should to
