Detach!
for Illustration Friday: Detach
My family needs to detach! Every now and then I raise my head from my computer (from which I listen to music, study, read, research and blog) and notice my children who are plugged in to their Zunes, MP3 players, Gameboys and cable.
As I went through my private devotions this week, there was a feeling of the need to return. Perhaps this is a kind of repentance but the simple things that were the backbone of my soul have now somehow gotten microchipped and multi-tasked.
I think I'll take a walk today...without my Walkman! :)

Great illo. You think the way I do. My car rule is "no one can be plugged in." It's a great time to conversate and laugh.

My mom is always yelling at us like that!
