Kids and Make Up

Children have a genetic predisposition to inappropriately using marking utensils. Which is why Sharpies should have a warning label.

Darn Blogger/Hello--I guess a saturday-sunday post will have to suffice for now.

Days Fly By

It's hard to imagine that it is almost Memorial Day. That is unless you are a driver. Over the past couple of weeks I've driven between Baltimore-Washington and North Carolina's Outer Banks. A good gauge that summer is approaching is not the increase in traffic near the beaches but the amount and messy-ness of the bugs on your windshield. I'm no expert but I'd say it has been much warmer in Carolina.

Has anyone noticed that the biggest bugsplat is always on the drivers side?

Animal Impression

I'm Back! hehehe...While I was away, our nieghbor decided she was moving because her rent was raised. So we inherited her cat and my cat's kittens-- See "Mr. Clean". Well she worked out her rent situation and announced a few days later that she was moving back...And that she wanted the cutest two of the four kittens (the ones my kids had fallen for). I haven't made an appropriately mature response yet. But I think using "Indian Giver" in it is an option. Is it indian giving if you only take the better stuff back?

Thanks to all of you who were left standing by during my darn 'puter problems. :)

The REAL American Idol

For those who watch search engine queries, Paula Abdul has been making some news lately and creating some more "hits". Why not? We all know we love the show for it's "talent". And we read the Enquirer for news (wink...wink...). Don't forget to vote.

I've been having some technical diffivulties lately. Hopefully it's over...Did ya miss me?

Oh No...There Goes Tokyo!!

Tokyo must have had an excellent homeland security system in place. Otherwise how did they get evacuated so quickly? They must also have had a very strong economy in order to rebuild so quickly before the next theatrical release!

If It Quacks Like A Cow...

Now I am one who believes that nature provides what is needed to live a rich and full life. But not everything "natural" is beneficial or neccesary for that to happen. Here is a little blurn from the "Confessions of a Quackbuster" on a homeopathic product called Zicam.

The Eyes Have It

Having just posted a judgemental piece on Michael Jackson I must admit I am a sucker for judging on appearances. But not like this big sucker . While Michael Jackson gives us plenty of room for criticism, Jennifer Wilbanks, the runaway bride, simply has big eyes, really big eyes!

Jennifer Wilbanks,
The Runaway Bride

Yet we are to be enriched by the internet pundits and their psychophotobabble, calling a person they have never met and having no credentials to diagnose--as crazy. Well listen up all you Polofreuds. You can no more tell the psychological state of a woman by the pixels of a photo than you can tell what a tree is thinking by asking it's leaves.

Does He Look Crazy?
No? It's Ted Bundy!

We should be ashamed of ourselves. But why should we be... we are protected by the blogosphere where we can condemn a women by her mistakes and the size of her eyes, all for the sake of a few comments on our blog. Whoppie! Thank God Jesus didn't say, "oh well you got caught, don't worry... after the first few stones, you won't feel a thing." to the woman caught in adultery. And thank God He didn't judge small David by his appearance...Otherwise we might be ruled by giants.

Check out these
CRAZY eyes!

I'm off my soapbox now...thank you.

"Scary Monsters"

Or "Ch-Ch-Ch-Changes". Both David Bowie titles may appropriately describe Michael Jackson's weird transformation. Here's a little video example to creep you out a little.

Preach Your Children Well

Our church has a funny cry room. A cry room is where you take active, rowdy or crying children during the church service. Ours is right next to the altar, so you get a side view of the readings and the homily. What makes it funny is not it's location but the fact that the sound system is only turned up half as loud as the children are. So you get snippets of the talk. Those parents who want to follow along are troubled not only with "what's little Billy putting in his hair?", but when to stand or kneel and "where exactly in the creed are we?". The only thing that really comes though is when the pastor sings, because it is usually loud and off key.

From a church bulletin : "For those of you who have children and don't know it, we have a nursery downstairs." Click here for other church bulletin mistakes!
