A TEENAGER who is bravely fighting an aggressive form of cancer has left his sick bed to help a struggling charity. Jeff Vipond is being cared for at the Sick Kids Hospital after doctors discovered a tumour growing near his stomach. The diagnosis was the latest setback for the plucky 15-year-old who was successfully treated for a brain tumour four years ago. During his treatment, Jeff and his family have been supported by the Children with Cancer and Leukaemia Advice and Support for Parents (CCLASP). After Jeff discovered CCLASP could close its doors within months, the youngster decided to organise a sponsored walk through Holyrood Park. The event was dubbed Jeff's Green Jaunt after the football fan, who normally uses a wheelchair, ensured his friends and family were all wearing Hibs strips before embarking on the walk.
