Now the Federal Home Bank of Pittsburgh is helping to make that dream a reality for Delawareans."It's basically a down payment, closing cost assistance program for first time homebuyers," said David Buches.All they're asking is that the first time homebuyer go to at least four hours of credit counseling."If there are some credit issues, if there are some things or questions you have about the process, if you need help or even how to look for a home...There's a lot of things you can provide that will really put you way ahead," said Mike Skipper.Then if you qualify, the First Front Door program could give up to five thousand dollars."If you are looking to buy a house and you have only a thousand dollars cash that you have available or to put down for a final cost, then the Federal Home Loan Bank program would match by giving three thousand dollars toward that. You'd end up with four thousand dollars cash," Buches said.The money is given in the form of a loan. But there's a catch.
